Some of My Favorite Makeup Right Now
Wearing a peachy color-correcting shade of Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer called R32, which I set with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in MediumHey, girl! Fancy meeting you here on a different blog! How are you doing? I thought I'd sneak away from my main squeeze at Makeup and Beauty Blog for a bit to chat about some of my favorite makeup right hurr. These are some of my favorite products right meow, but I should warn you... I change my mind...a lot. Haha. I'd love to hear what your current favorites are too.
-
Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done -- This amazing tinted moisturizer needs to be in your life...like...right now. I just recently discovered it, and I've been wearing it nonstop for weeks.
Basically, it's a super amped-up tinted moisturizer, and, you know, tinted moisturizers don't always have enough coverage for me. I mean, I want some coverage, but I still want my skin to look natural. One and Done does that for me.
I have some freckles by my eyes, and I don't want to completely cover them up. I like them, and, I dunno... Covering them up makes me look all Instagrammy and face-tuned and weird, but when my freckles peek through, like they do when I use this, it makes me happy. I feel like me.

NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder in Translucent Crystal -- When you open Translucent Crystal's compact, the powder looks white, and not like a regular powder.
It almost looks like you're opening a pack of tissue...except that it's not tissue. It's a powder. Obviously.
It has a flat finish, and the powder is really packed in there. Oh! -- and when you put it on top of something, like you set your concealer with it, or apply it on top of that tinted moisturizer from Urban Decay, you can't see the powder at all. It sets everything, but that's it. It's virtually undetectable.
-
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush -- Even if you were my husband, who is utterly clueless when it comes to makeup, and had absolutely no idea what to do with blush, you could use this and look like a pro makeup artist. I kid you not.
Along with regular blush pigment, it has sort of like a diffusing powder, and there's a bunch of different colors. They've been around forever.
So, the blushes are pigmented, which you can see in their pans, but it's marbled with a diffusing highlighter, so that when you put one on your cheeks, you get a little color AND a subtly glowing flush. And you don't look shiny at all. The highlighting powder just mellows things out. I think it's lovely.
-
NARS Audacious Lipstick in Apoline -- I just adore this creamy nude pink. It's one of the colors in the NARS Audacious line, and, I don't know... I have a baby, and whenever I wear lipgloss, my hair gets caught in there, and then her hair gets caught in there...and I like that I don't have to deal with that when I wear this lipstick, because it's not sticky.
And when it's on my lips, it actually stays on my lips and doesn't transfer onto my clothes.
It doesn't have any funky flavors or anything annoying, either. It's just a good, wearable lipstick with a smooth formula that lasts a long time and doesn't dry out my lips.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer -- Thank goodness for this stuff! I use it under my eyes... Actually, I use it in two colors under my eyes.
One of the colors has orange undertones, because I have really bad dark circles, and the orange cancels out the purple tones more than, say, just putting on a regular skin-toned concealer would. And the other color I use is a yellow-based shade a few degrees lighter than my natural skin tone.
My favorite thing about this is the finish. It doesn't look heavy, and my whole M.O. these days is that I don't want to look like I'm wearing a ton of makeup. When I use this under my eyes, it doesn't settle into my fine lines or crêpe-ee, fake or gross.

Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner in 88 Noir Intense -- I didn't realize how much I loved Chanel's twist-up Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner in Noir Intense until I recently ran out, and so I've been trying to use up all of the other black liners in my bag, but none of them compare.
OK, so, some liners -- and this is gonna sound gross, but it's true -- will irritate my eyes and give me little pimples along the water line, but Noir Intense never does. It also stays put and doesn't smear.
It's a super easy dark black liner, and most of the time that's just what I want.
